This truck had the SUs off the 1600 (port-fitted to the 2.0L head) with a slalom cam & 2.5” exhaust pipe. Lowered torsion bar front, 2” blocks in back with anti-sway bar made out of a General Telephone building earthquake bracing (yeah; overkill, but it WORKED GREAT). Shaved rear side windows using a Fiat hood, curved bed lip to continue the 620 door & cab “bullit” side [1.5" curved metal stiched in w/MIG, & finished], shaved side markers with the [then] Euro taillights. Got an RPM guage from the dealer & installed in the dash –there WAS a plug for it (surprised me then). Would have SMOKED my current Toyota V6. Lotta fun, but a lotta work, but a LOTTA fun!
