I plan on one day hopefully having it on the cover of mini truckin. I want to paint it some shade of blue. As far as the modifications on the truck I would like to start with a full air suspension, drop the body, custom upper and lower a frames, put some custom rims and eventually a bed cover.

When I was 14 my father brought home a yellow 1972 datsun 620 pickup. The truck consisted of only the body and the gas tank. No engine and no transmission. I fell instantly for this truck. Over the years I bought several trucks 1975 - 1978 -1979 for there parts. Well here we are 14 years later and I drive it everyday. In 2004 is when it all really started to come together. I rebuilt a 78 datsun motor and had it board to 40 over. There is a new Webber carburetor mounted to the motor. I also had to upgrade the wire harness to a 78 with a electronic ignition system. Since the gas tank that came with the truck was in very very poor condition and I couldn’t find another one I had to replace it with 12 gallon fuel cell. Do to my truck being a short bed I couldn’t use the other trucks gas tanks. When I fell in love with this truck I never new how much the parts would cost. Back in 2007 I found out how rare the back sliding glass sectional window is. Due to the breaking of a small panel in the window to steel the sound system I found out that the rear window is $750.00 to replace it but the catch is that you cant get it anywhere. So I had to have the small section replaced with plexie glass. I will not let that discourage me. I proud to say that my baby brother Chris is now the proud owner of his own 1978 Datsun long bed pickup. So I guess you can just call us the DATSUN BROTHERS.
